A little too green?

At the SVPMA December meeting at the Computer History Museum, Geoffrey More (Crossing the Chasm, etc) introduced the themes and frameworks from his latest book, Dealing with Darwin. Much of the discussion focused on Moore’s framework and theory for identifying and "recycling" talent in an organization. Instead of a 10-year or less temporary job, Moore argued that employees should be permanent, reusing and honing their individual talents instead of following the life-cycle of their products.

While a novel concept, it seemed to be a little much too "green." In fact, during Q&A, Moore was asked if eco-friendly green was a long-term competitive differentiator.  Moore’s answer was "no."  Maybe the question was less about hybrids and Whole Foods Market and more about his book.
